Comprised of long-standing members of London’s hardcore community, KING STREET have been steadily building momentum since 2020. After three EPs and their crushing, ambitious full length ‘War Scrolls’ it was inevitable that the band would collaborate with Rucktion Records, who proudly present the ‘Parting Shots’ EP.

Retaining the groove and bounce of the band’s earlier material, ‘Parting Shots’ takes KING STREET into new territory: darker and heavier music and subject matter and nastier, more drawn out and punishing breakdowns. Lyrical themes match the intensity of the music, taking on the pressures and struggles of existence, and the fight to keep going in the face of hopelessness. Despite this slight shift in style, there is still plenty of room for a memorable shout-along chorus as displayed on ‘Honour the Few’ or the title track, which features Alex from Rucktion new blood Agency. KING STREET proudly display their roots in London HC, which go back to the 12bar days and before, by including a live recording of ‘Crippler LBU’ from vocalist Ammo’s very first band of the same name.
 
More savage and metallic than before, yet clearly deeply rooted in Hardcore, ‘Parting Shots’ is yet another accomplished release from a prolific and hard-working band who have continued to grow and expand their vision while playing constantly around London, the UK and beyond. The embodiment of London Hardcore.
